Based on the idea that each child is a loving, happy, unique individual.

Our focus in on meeting each child's needs. We strive for a positive and rewarding experience with a program designed to incorporate the four learning domains, social-emotional development, language and literacy, English language development and mathematics.

Our curriculum includes High Reach, Handwriting Without Tears, Weekly Readers, and Spectrum, to create the best possible program for each child.

Below you will find the core curriculum we use at Little Gators. We have been using High Reach for over 20 years, Handwriting Without Tears for 10 years, Weekly Readers for over 20 years and we just introduced Spectrum this year and we love it!

Handwriting Without Tears

Two's, Three's and pre-k

The Handwriting Without Tears curriculum draws from years of research to provide developmentally appropriate, multi-sensory tools and strategies for the classroom. This program follows research that shows that children learn more effectively by actively doing, with materials that address all styles of learning. Pre-schoolers learn through movement and participation. They learn best when they manipulate objects, build, move, sing and draw and participate in dramatic play. We have been using this as part of our curriculum for the past 10 years and we continue to go back and get certified in their new curriculum.

Three Core Learning Areas

  • Numbers & Math
  • Language & Literacy
  • Readiness & Writing

Zoo-Phonics

Two's, Three's and pre-k

The Zoo-phonics Multi-sensory Language Arts Program is a kinesthetic, multi-modal approach to learning all aspects of language arts, including vocabulary development and articulation, based on phonics and phonemic awareness. The principle of Zoo-phonics maximizes understanding, memory, utilization and transference to all areas of the reading, spelling and writing process in a playful and concrete manner.

Preschool worksheets are a great way to prepare your child for elementary school. Guide your child through these worksheets to teach them about letters, shapes and numbers. These preschool worksheets are aperfect tool for children who are starting to develop foundational skills that will help them in school. We give homework so that you can check in with your child’s development and progress.

            Outdoor Play

Play time both indoor and outdoor is equally important at Little Gators Preschool. Through play our children are able to socialize, use their imagination, problem solve and experience the world around them. During play time children can maximize their attention span as they focus on self selected activities.

Outdoor Play Allows The Children To Experience Sensory Activities, Exercise, Learn About Nature And Engage In Lite Physical Activity.

Accompanying the two play structures, we also have a club house where the children can play with a kitchen set and other home furniture.
